On File: Update: Lawsuit Against City of Lake Worth
Posted on Friday, August 17, 2007 @ 20:52:27 EST by Delta_Data_Services

Lake Worth

Is the McCauley-McNamara suit over?

Attorney Jane West has filed a motion for "default" in circuit court in behalf of the Plantiffs; James E McCauley and Laurence McNamara in the case against the City of Lake Worth. As you can see from the documentation provided, the legal firm the city is paying for requested and got a 30 day extension in which to respond to the suit. By failing to do so within the time they requested; their standing has been seriously jeopardized and if the judge grants the "default" as they have done before in cases involving Lake Worth - then it's over and the plantiff's win the case by default.

Lake Worth Media will post further information as it becomes available.

More than likely Ciklin will ask for more time. Drag out the legal fees that the citizens of LW are paying. Casey Ciklin Lubitz Martens & O'Connell (the firm that use to have BOOSE as the managing partner) will do everything possible to drag this this on. May justice prevail and the good guys win one.
